I have held women the way churches hold stained glass— fragile, holy, backlit by longing. I have heard them confess in fragments: “Don’t stop” means “Don’t leave me.” “Harder” means “Make me feel something real.” And when they close their eyes, they aren’t seeing me— they’re seeing the lover who left, the father who never stayed, the version of themselves they lost somewhere between girl and ghost.
