Has anyone else compared this to the recent 4K remaster? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Let us be clear: This is a , not a piracy release. Many private film clubs archive these "Grain Daddy" or "Krissy" releases (the codenames for the scanner used). Has anyone else compared this to the recent 4K remaster

When The Matrix was released on Blu-ray and 4K UHD, the Wachowskis and cinematographer Bill Pope opted to alter the color palette. They applied a heavy green tint to scenes inside the Matrix to align the first film with the visual style of the sequels ( Reloaded and Revolutions ). There is only the grain

This 1080p encode is not "low resolution." It is high information . Because grain carries micro-contrast, this 35mm scan often looks more detailed to the human eye than the waxy, DNR-slathered 4K disc.
