The movie picks up where the previous installment left off, with Puss in Boots living a peaceful life in a quiet village with his friends, Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) and Humpty Dumpty (Jack Black). However, when Puss's nine lives come to an end, he sets out on a perilous journey to find the Last Wish, which he believes will allow him to regain his lost lives. Along the way, he encounters a host of new characters, including a mysterious and powerful figure known as "The Big Bad Wolf" (John Cleese).
