Realizing she couldn't win against thermodynamics, Summer took the ranger's advice: a local diner was hosting a "Community Potluck" for anyone whose holiday plans had gone sideways.

The plan works, and the Shoplyfter manages to escape the resort, leaving behind a trail of confusion and chaos. But as they make their way back to their hideout, they realize that they may have left behind more than just a few sparkling necklaces.
