As the population ages and the "baby boomer" and "Gen X" demographics retain their economic power, there is a voracious appetite for stories that reflect their reality.

Third, the audience demanded it. The silent generation of moviegoers grew up. Millennial and Gen X women, armed with disposable income and streaming subscriptions, have zero interest in watching 20-year-olds solve problems they haven’t experienced yet.
