Following the cult success of the debut, Crosby was given a budget. He used it to hire the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Music for People is darker, slower, and more orchestral. It lacked a radio hit like Touched , which led to a label dispute, but it is arguably his most beautiful work.
