When you feel anger or panic rise (hot blood), physically stop moving for three seconds. Do not speak. Do not type. Just exist. Ice does not rush. That pause is the temperature drop.
In a study on hostage negotiation, the FBI found that the most successful negotiators were those described by peers as "ice water in their veins." They listened without reacting. They lowered the temperature of the room by refusing to match the heat of the aggressor. Cool as Ice
