The term refers to a software utility designed by Xprinter (a Chinese manufacturer of thermal label and receipt printers, notably the XP-80 series and others) to troubleshoot, configure, and test their printer hardware. Unlike standard printer drivers, this tool operates at a firmware/communication level to diagnose issues such as connection failures, incorrect label detection, paper out errors, and firmware corruption.
