The Cabri G2 uses a sprag clutch (freewheel unit) for the rotor engagement. During startup, the rotor doesn’t turn until the engine hits ~40% Ng. That delayed rotor spin surprises first-time pilots. If you advance throttle too quickly, you get a sudden blade slap. The checklist doesn’t warn you, but experience does.
The Lycoming O-360 needs fuel vapor to start. Use the manual plunger primer.
