Furthermore, the game relied heavily on the likenesses of Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, and Robert Duvall. Securing those rights again would be astronomically expensive. As of 2025, the game is delisted from digital storefronts, and physical copies are collectors' items that sell for high premiums on eBay.
This " Forrest Gump" style of storytelling works exceptionally well. It gives longtime fans a reason to replay the game, spotting the subtle ways the developers stitched the player into the background of iconic scenes.
