As they spend more time on the island, Emma and Lucien grow closer, and their friendship blossoms into romance. They explore the island, discover hidden caves, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. However, their happiness is short-lived, as they soon face challenges and dangers on the island.
The film follows Emma Robinson (Indiana Evans), a high-achieving, slightly rebellious student, and Dean McMullen (Brenton Thwaites), the school’s charming but directionless football captain. They are among a group of students on a cruise to Trinidad for a community service project. After a night of partying, Emma and Dean end up on a small motorboat, trying to find their way back to the main ship. A violent storm hits, capsizing their boat.
