Mercedes-benz: B124e95 !!hot!!
Imagine a scenario where you press the brake pedal. The Brake Light Switch sends a signal saying, "Pedal Pressed." However, the cruise control system might simultaneously be reading a speed of 80 mph with no previous deceleration, or the throttle position sensor might be reading 100% acceleration. To the computer, a full throttle acceleration while braking is "not plausible." The car knows that human input cannot logically be in two contradictory states at once.
For those driving manual transmission AMG or sport models, the clutch switch serves a similar function to the brake switch regarding cruise control. If the switch is misadjusted, it may tell the car the clutch is partially depressed when it is fully engaged. This leads to a "Signal Not Plausible" error regarding engine load vs. clutch position. mercedes-benz b124e95
