Pillowfort Play Tent Instructions -
Note: Pillowfort (sold at Target) has made several tent styles over the years. If your tent has fiberglass poles with a shock cord inside, these instructions apply.
Pillowfort Play Tent Assembly Instructions What’s in the Box (Typically)
1 fabric tent body (walls + roof) 4–6 fiberglass poles (collapsible, connected by elastic cord) 1 separate pole for the door arch (on some models) 1 storage bag (optional)
Tools Needed
None (assembly is tool-free) 2 people recommended for larger tents (castle or cabin style)
Step 1: Identify the Pole Sleeves & Pole Types Lay the tent flat with the door opening facing up . Look for:
Long sleeves running corner-to-corner (for the main structure) Short sleeves near the top (for roof support) pillowfort play tent instructions
Unfold the fiberglass poles. Let them snap together automatically (the elastic cord inside keeps them connected).
Step 2: Insert the Main Poles For a teepee or pyramid tent :
Take one pole and insert it into a corner sleeve at the bottom edge of the tent. Gently push the pole up through the sleeve until it reaches the top corner (often a fabric loop or reinforced pocket). Repeat for each remaining corner. Note: Pillowfort (sold at Target) has made several
For a pop-up cube/castle :
Poles usually form an “X” over the top. Insert each pole through opposite lower corners and up through the roof sleeves.
