is accessible by train to Katrineholm followed by a short bus ride.
True to the book Findus Moves Out (or Findus and the Fox ), the museum features crawlspaces and tunnels connecting the various rooms. For toddlers and young children, this is the highlight—a secret network allowing them to pop up in the henhouse or behind the sofa.
If you’re searching for a "Pettson Findus museum," you won't find one single building with that name. Instead, the whimsical world of Sven Nordqvist’s beloved characters—the eccentric farmer Pettson and his mischievous, green-trousered cat Findus—is brought to life across several iconic Swedish locations.
The museum is designed specifically as a Lekmuseum (Play Museum). The philosophy is simple: Do not touch is banned here. Instead, Please play is the rule. Every nook and cranny of the farm has been recreated based directly on Nordqvist’s original watercolor illustrations, with a level of detail that will leave adult fans gasping.
Up a steep, child-friendly staircase lies Findus’s favorite hiding spot. Here, the small green-trousered cat keeps his treasures: bottle caps, nails, and mysterious things. The attic is low-ceilinged and cozy, offering a kid’s-eye view of the world. There is a large window looking down over the rest of the museum, perfect for "spying" on guests below.
