If you are tracking down , you will notice a distinct shift in the later seasons. The show was retitled The New Adventures of Captain Planet . The animation style changed slightly, becoming sharper, and the focus shifted toward more sci-fi elements.
The first season is the roughest around the edges but arguably the most ambitious. Produced by DIC Entertainment, the animation is choppy, and Captain Planet’s design looks slightly different (his chin is sharper). However, this season features the best writing.
