The idea for Jurassic World was born out of a desire to revisit the world of John Hammond's (Richard Attenborough) original theme park. The film takes place 22 years after the events of the first Jurassic Park film and follows the story of Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the park's operations manager, and Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), a Velociraptor trainer.
