Possibly a spin-off (Lars of the Stars, a prequel about the Gem War, or a series about the new Gem society). But a traditional Season 6 with Steven as the lead is unlikely, as Future was explicitly designed to say goodbye.

War drama and reconciliation. Major Arc: The defeat of Jasper, the fate of the corrupted Gems, and the arrival of the Diamonds.

It takes place two years after the original finale. The Diamonds are trying to be "good" (Yellow runs a spa that fixes shattered Gems; Blue visits sad planets; White collects plush toys). The Earth is at peace.

The climax is devastating. The Diamonds arrive on Earth demanding Steven. Believing he is protecting his friends, Steven turns himself over to Homeworld, revealing his gem—which they believe to be —and shouts, "I'm the one you want! I'm the one who did it! I'm... my mom." The screen cuts to black. He is captured.

Season 1 is a masterclass in slow-burn world-building. For the first 25 episodes, Steven (voiced by Zach Callison) fights corrupted monsters with the Crystal Gems—Garnet (the stoic leader), Amethyst (the wild child), and Pearl (the meticulous strategist). The show feels like a sugary adventure.

A full season focusing on Lars as captain of the Sun Incinerator, with Sadie, the Off-Colors, and occasional Steven cameos. This is the most likely spin-off fans request.

The Diamonds become allies. All corrupted Gems are restored. Steven finally finds peace. The original series ends.
