These repacks are highly compressed versions of the 2014 Steam release of the original Resident Evil 4, featuring upgraded textures and modern resolution support.
However, the vanilla Ultimate HD Edition still had flaws: compressed audio, muddy environmental textures, and missing visual effects from the GameCube version. This is where the RE4 HD Project (a fan-made texture overhaul) later entered the scene, but that’s a separate mod.
