The story is set against the crumbling aristocracy of Uttar Pradesh. (Jimmy Sheirgill) is a fallen king (Raja) who has lost his political ground and spends his days drinking, plotting, and seething with rage. He lives in a dilapidated palace with his beautiful but neglected wife, the Biwi (Mahie Gill). Their marriage is a hollow arrangement of convenience and appeasement.

Dhulia co-wrote the script with Sanjay Chauhan, and every dialogue is a bullet. There are no monologues; conversations are power struggles.
