Some enthusiasts run Windows 7 inside a VirtualBox VM, pass the USB controller to the VM, configure the RAT 5 there, and then use the mouse on the host machine. This works because the settings are saved to the mouse’s internal memory (the RAT 5 has 64KB of onboard storage).
