Mouse lives with his mother (Teyonah Parris) and is caught between two father figures. On one side is Detective Rivers (William Catlett), a well-meaning cop trying to steer Mouse toward a legitimate equestrian program (a real-life Baltimore initiative that pairs troubled youth with horses). On the other is Blax (a terrifyingly charismatic Meek Mill in his acting debut), Stro’s former partner who has aged out of joyriding into the cold, hard world of drug trafficking.
