Six strangers in a post-conflict Kashmir Valley enroll in an experimental retreat called “Fanaa.” Each must confront a different form of ego-death—grief, revenge, nationalism, betrayal, illusion, and fear. As they progress through six stages, they discover that the sixth stage requires sacrificing one to save the rest. The film asks: What is worth annihilating yourself for?
