The film follows the story of Neil Caffrey (Colin O'Donoghue), a young priest who is sent to Rome to attend exorcism school, where he learns how to perform exorcisms and cast out demons. Neil is a bit of a skeptic, but he soon finds himself drawn into a world of demonic possession and supernatural horrors. Alongside his colleagues, including a Portuguese nun named Angélica (Alice Braga) and a seasoned priest named Merrin (Ciarán Hinds), Neil must confront an evil entity that threatens to destroy them all.
