Understanding Qigong

Alignment is everything. The spine must be straight but relaxed (like a string of pearls). The knees are soft, not locked. The tongue touches the roof of the mouth (connecting the "Functional" and "Governing" meridians to complete the energy circuit).

It is a mind-body practice from China that combines: understanding qigong

This is purely internal; it involves no external movement. The practitioner sits or stands completely still, using the mind (Yi) to guide Qi through specific circuits, most famously the (circulating energy up the spine and down the front of the body). Alignment is everything

Every Qigong session works these three simultaneously: The tongue touches the roof of the mouth

Taoism teaches the concept of (effortless action) and harmony with the Tao (The Way). Qigong is Taoism applied to the body. The goal is not to force the body into submission but to align with the natural rhythms of the universe—the seasons, the time of day, and the flow of energy within.
