Contrary to popular belief, 2Pac did not record the version of “Until the End of Time” that became the radio staple. The original track was recorded in 1995 during the Me Against the World sessions under a different title:

The original demo featured a sparse, melancholic piano loop and found Pac in a reflective state. Recently released from prison, he was grappling with betrayal, attempted assassination, and the crumbling of his relationship with the Outlawz.
