The success of the Raspberry Pi created a generation of users who think booting Linux on Arm is easy. In reality, the Pi has a proprietary GPU/VideoCore bootloader that hides the complexity. For "hardcore" Arm boards (Rockchip, Allwinner, NXP i.MX), the boot process is a nightmare.
