Liberation is not for everyone. Its complexity is its greatest barrier. New players will find the UI overwhelming, the line-of-sight mechanics punishing, and the direct control controls initially clunky. Pathfinding for infantry through rubble can be maddening. The AI, while improved, occasionally exhibits the classic RTS flaw of sending tanks one-by-one into an ambush.
Gates of Hell took that foundation and rebuilt the AI, ballistics, and damage models to reflect the terrifying reality of WWII. Liberation completes the trilogy by shifting the focus from the German defensive campaigns to the Soviet Juggernaut of 1944-1945. This is the story of the Red Army punching through the German frontier, liberating concentration camps, and raising the flag over the Reichstag. Call to Arms - Gates of Hell- Liberation
