This is a rendering issue specific to 1.27b. Go to your Documents\Warcraft III folder and edit War3Preferences.txt . Change lockmouse=0 to lockmouse=1 and set renderer=OpenGL2 to renderer=Direct3D9 .

Once you finish your map, you can switch back to 1.31 or 1.32 (Reforged) to test "modern" compatibility without losing your source file. warcraft version switcher 1.27b
