→ Never move zone to an external drive unless it’s a fast SSD. Slow HDD = texture streaming lag.

Inside the zone folder, you will typically see two critical sub-folders: call of duty mw3 pc zone folder

This is the gold standard fix. It forces Steam to compare your local files against the master server files. not the zone folder.

For display issues, safe zone settings (HUD margins) are usually stored in the config.cfg file within the players folder, not the zone folder.
