Update and improve products. How the game does: Radiant Dawn improved on Path of Radiance by adding third-tier promotions, a larger roster, and the “Height Advantage” mechanic. However, the removal of the world map and support conversations (replaced with generic dialogue) is a regression. Grade: Minor improvement, major step back.
Manage activities as interconnected processes. How the game does: The core loop—battle → support → promote → battle again—is flawless. But the game introduces a massive process failure : the difficulty spike in Part 3’s “Elincia’s Gambit.” That’s a non-conformance right there. Grade: Major non-conformity.
: Set three years after the events of Path of Radiance , the story takes place on the continent of Tellius . It follows the perspective of several factions, primarily the Dawn Brigade led by the "Silver-Haired Maiden," Micaiah .
Fire Emblem: Akatsuki no Megami would not achieve ISO 9001 certification without corrective action. The inconsistent difficulty curve and broken support system are quality deviations. That said, no JRPG has ever been certified—and that’s fine. Art doesn’t need a QMS.
