In the pantheon of Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs), few names command as much respect as The Legend of Heroes ( Eiyuu Densetsu ). While modern audiences are familiar with the blockbuster Trails (Kiseki) series, the franchise has deep roots that stretch back to the golden era of PC gaming and the handheld revolution of the early 2000s.

(海の檻歌) translates to "Prison Song of the Sea" or "The Cage Song of the Ocean." It is the third and final chapter of the Gagharv Trilogy, following White Witch (1994) and Tear of Vermillion (1996). Originally released in Japan in 1998 for Windows PCs, the game was later ported to the PlayStation Portable (PSP) in 2006.
