The blue wraps were electrically unstable, leading to a micro-splitting issue. Four units vented (safely, thanks to the VMR pressure valve), but the reputation took a hit. In the years leading up to 2012, VMR invested heavily in flow-forming technology. While the Power Pack included intakes and exhausts, the wheels remained the centerpiece. 2012 was the year VMR solidified its reputation for strength without weight penalties.
